About Dank Delish

Inundated with Lo-Fi, Jungle, Jazz, Funk and DnB roots, the music of producer, artist and coffee roaster Dank Delish exudes a smooth and tender tenor, an urban savvy if you will, all while punching back with a racing electronic upbeatness and intensity that has triumphantly flourished amongst audiences at various New York City venues such as Nublu, Pianos, Bowery Electric, The Delancey, etc. Known for his introspective rhythms, video-game boogie and his ability to oscillate between styles and instrumentation in a given show, song, or hook, Dank Delish authors a diverse and layered sound through genre merging at its finest. And whether it be staging a full band performance or a solo output on his guitar, his SP-404, and a mic Dank Delish wraps and immerses you in a performance that feels eclectic and undisputedly cool.

Having featured a slew of local talent in his projects and performances, including Reuben Reuel, abc sadboy, Tihesi and many others, there’s an aura of intentionality and community involvement that drives Dank Delish and his musical inhibitions forward. Every Monday night he packs up his guitar and SP-404 and can be found at Starr Barr in the heart of Bushwick performing for hours with a diverse and varied musical cast of characters. He’s not one to shy away from working with other artists or involving them in his writing process, as he duly notes himself:

“I think my producer side can hear the direction an artist is going, and sometimes I'll make tracks with specific people in mind. Other times I'm just making things and the right people hear it at the right time and want to collaborate with me. I didn't set out to work with as many people as I could because I know my music isn't always easy to figure out right away and that presents a challenge to a lot of artists, but the ones who take the time usually come out with a new approach to how they write music.”

This inhibition to create with others is none the more obvious, however, than on his latest and brightest full length album, METACOGNITION (2025), which features a multitude of distinct artistic contributors, and thematically fights against the barricades that feel all too comfortable to fall back against, and in turn how self-reflection and emotional healing can combat the instinctive human desire to shrink inward. Inspired by the likes of JPEGMAFIA and The Voidz, the album whisks the technological hustle of the modern age and molds it to the backing thump of an epic video-game soundtrack, parallelling the day in, day-out exigency that one can only find in a place like New York. The album revels and dances to itself with a heartful and urgent beat, and grooves in a manner that could casually stir a bout of impromptu headbanging. It’s also soft, dreamy and translucently powerful though, displaying the wide range of Dank Delish’s abilities.

Along with his first full length album, METACOGNITION (2025) Dank Delish has now produced four EPs, the self-titled Dank Delish (2021), Filler Arc (2022), and 3P (2022), as well as 7/11 Was a Part-Time Job (2023), a collaboration effort with Solute and a personal mentor of Dank’s, Say10. His discography also includes a mash of successful singles as well like Berries & Cream (2023), Silver Surfer (2023), and Honey Lavender (2022). When he’s not writing new material or performing, Dank Delish devotes hours to roasting coffee in his lovely abode in Ridgewood, NY.  He’s composed a special roast called “Producers Choice” which he sells at whichever venue he’s performing at that night, and at dankdelish.com. The coffee is intended to pair with the music. The music is intended to pair with the coffee. And both deliver a unique blend of sweetness and energy.
